Book Giveaway on Wednesday

There will be a book giveaway in front of the library on Wednesday, January 30, during 3-way conferences. These are former donations that did not meet our selection criteria or are former library books that have been deleted from the library system. There are books in English, German, Chinese, and Korean. Most of the books are for adults, but there are some for children, also.

Nanjing Olympic Museum – great resource in our city

Dear All

This very good museum is jam packed full of great information and displays about the Olympic movement and the Youth Olympics that were held here in 2014.
It is located in the Poly Theatre/Hotel complex near the beautiful pedestrian bridge (well worth a trip in itself for budding architects or designers ) south of the city in the CBD.

Free entrance with passport.

Good signage in English.

Lots to see and quite a bit of interactive stuff- need to check with the museum that it is all switched on and in working order.

Suitable for all ages.

Thoroughly recommend, and I have a copy of the brochure if anyone is interested in going along.

Speech & Debate: early departure today

To teachers of the students listed below…

Could these students have permission to leave a little early from their Block 5 lesson today (Friday, 25th January)? They have a bus to catch at 3pm from NIS to the stati0n. They would therefore need to leave your lesson by 2:45pm at the latest. They should mention this to you themselves and remind you when the time comes. Many thanks for making sure we leave on time!
