MAP APP and Schedule

Hello Grade 6-12 Students,

If you have not done so already please download the new NWEA MAP App today! Instructions can be found here or here. Please see IT for additional support.

The schedule for your testing over the next two weeks is located here. Please note your testing times and locations. Students testing in Block One should check in with your Block One teacher for attendance, then head to your testing location.

As always, the best preparation is a good night’s sleep, a charged laptop, and a positive mental attitude. Please let your Advisor, Ms. Clarke, or Mr. Bratton know what questions you may have.

NIS Student-Community Basketball

NIS Community members (Students, staff, parents, and partners directly connected to NIS, with an ID card) are invited to come play basketball on Sundays, beginning October 17th, from 3:00 – 5:00pm. NIS IDs and SuKangMa required at the Gate to enter. All genders and levels welcome. However, students 5th grade and below must be accompanied by an adult. Email or talk to andyromero if you have any questions.

Bikes Wanted!

One of the projects in Grade 10 Design is the repurposing of bicycles. The students have come  up with some great ideas but what we are lacking is used bicycles to re-purpose. If you have an old bicycle taking up space at home we would love to give it a new life in some form. We are hoping to start work in the next week or so. If you are able to help please contact Mr Stevens, Mrs Clarke or any of the Design teachers. Thank you!

Evacuation Drill Tomorrow at 10:00am

Hello Students,

Tomorrow at 10:00am we will have our first evacuation drill (weather permitting). A reminder to calmly and quietly move to the NIS track and line up in study groups. Please move quickly and safely and maintain quiet. Please ask your teachers if you have any questions. Many thanks!
