We will have a short house meeting to meet your house teachers and house captains.

Student Coaching – CAS/GCD Project opportunity G11

The completion of a PROJECT in collaboration with at least one other human which lasts more than a month, that achieves an outcome and at least one strand is required.

Student Coaching could fulfill your project requirement.

We need student coaches for:

DP retreat Days Grade 11 + Grade 12

Grade 11 will have next Monday 28th August with some special activities in the Center with me and will be back to normal classes on Tuesday.

Grade 12 will have normal classes on Monday and will have their special day on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th.

August SAT

Gentle reminders for the August 26 SAT test taker 

  • Students are expected to bring their own devices with downloaded Bluebook. ( Take Practice tests in advance)
  • Students are to bring admission ticket: e-version/printed ticket/emails
  • Test center access: Arrive the test center by 7.45 AM. No test room entry later than 8.00 am. Venue: H302 in centre building.
  • Students should come with College Board login credentials/device sign-in credential. (College Board account and password)
  • The laptop should be fully charged before being used for two hours.
  • Follow Proctor’s instructions carefully throughout the entire exam

  • Make sure to get enough sleep the night before the test day!

Higher Education Afternoon

Join us for Higher Education Afternoon information session to delve into the critical topic of NIS students’ college applications. Chinese and Korean translations will be provided.

Attendees will learn about the following:

  • College application trends and updates on NIS senior students
  • Tips and insights from innovative university counseling programs implemented by the NIS university counseling department to equip students with tools for achieving their post-secondary goals
  • How families can provide positive and constructive support throughout their child’s PSI application journey
  • Expectations for G12/11 to G10/9 students and how they can prepare themselves as inquiring and well-balanced learners in exploring their post-secondary options
