Are you tired of getting charged too much for printing color when you really wanted Black and White? Ever wish you could just set the default printing status to what you want? Well, have a look at the following document to see how to do this on your computer courtesy of Mr. York Zha, our Network Admin and Printing specialist.
Feeling like you missed an important bulletin announcement? Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to find out that information in a quick and easy way? Well, you’re in luck! Using the search function, you can type in keywords for a quick reveal of all the previous posts that contained that word, beginning with those posts that have the word in the title. Likewise, if you want to make sure your post can be found easily, name it something memorable and relevant to the topic – like if you’re running a Pizza-making ASA, name it “Pizza Pie Time” or something with “pizza” in the title. Just use the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner of the screen:
See? Easy as pizza pie!
A reminder that we will have our usual “Monday Briefing” today at Break in the Staff Lounge. See you there!
Please join us for a special TTOF on Wednesday 9th October in the staff lounge 4:15.
There will be a presentation with special deals and discounts from Australia Expat Travel.
All welcome.
Thanks for your understanding.

Please sign up for MS Choir on Veracross!
During choir, students will get to choose and learn a variety of songs. You will practice voice techniques, learn about song structure, harmony and experience performing in front of live audiences. If you play a musical instrument let’s incorporate that into our performances, where possible.
MS/US Teachers please see attachment for the grade 10 and 11 students who will miss
blocks 1-4 on Wednesday, October 16 Day 8 because they will be taking the PSAT test.
Students will see you regarding missed work.
Students. Note the cancelled dates for SAT II in November and SAT I in March, 2020.
Happy Friday All,
A reminder that all teachers/teaching assistants not involved in the PYP session with Junlah or the TOK session with Rajesh will begin in the PAC at 8:00am Monday Morning, October 7th with a session designed to unearth a little more about inclusive practices at NIS, and ways we can support and scale these in the context of our (newly articulated) Learning Principles. Coffee/tea will be provided and the session will likely wrap-up just before the 10:00am Break (which will be in the Staff Lounge). Just bring yourself and your well-rested brains!
For more details about how the day looks after that, please see the bespoke schedules from Katie (MS/US) and Adam/Junlah (PS). The usual Break accoutriments (10:00-10:20am) and lunch for all Staff (12:30-1:30pm) will be provided.
Also, a quick note that Friday, October 18th is a “normal” Professional Learning Day for everyone, regardless of our status participating, presenting, or support Learning2. More details to come on how this will work with most rooms and learning spaces in use for the conference. #wehaveaplan
