Please sit on the bleachers with your house teams.

Stay light on your feet and keep on skipping.

Scrooge! run through after school

A reminder of our final run through after school today (Wednesday)!

This will be our last chance to rehearse, so ALL CAST AND CREW please arrive on time at 3:05 – straight after school. We will go over the Fezziwig Party scene, the Portly Gentlemen scene and Marley’s Face technical first and then straight into a run through.

Please do not be late! We will not begin until everyone is present.

Scrooge! Friday Sold Out!

This year’s MYP/DP Production of Scrooge! will be a promenade performance. This description from the Scottish Arts Council explains what this means:

In Promenade the staging or performance area may be set in various locations in a venue. There may even be no distinction between the area the audience sit or stand in and the space for action. The audience inhabit, not just watch, a space.

Seating will be extremely limited! But you’ll not want to sit down as you are swept into the action and become part of the world the old miser Mr Scrooge inhabits!

Performances: 26 & 27 November, 7:00pm

Tickets available from reception free of charge.

FRIDAY SOLD OUT!!!!!

A handful of tickets remaining for Thursday.

Girls and boys G9-12 Inter house Basketball will take place in the Blue gym today at lunch time.  Make sure you have your house shirts if you are playing.

Language Acquisition

Here are some comments from non native English students from around the world on increasing comprehensibility

Please use easier words.

Explain important words with smaller words.

Please speak slowly and clearly.

Please write more clearly on the board.

Don’t give difficult words in test questions.

Repeat what other students say when they ask a question or give an answer.

Let us explain things in our own language to people who don’t understand something.
