Don’t forget about the Managebac training sessions for all MYP and DP teachers during lunchtime to prepare for using it in the fall. We will be offering 3 levels of training in order to ensure teachers are prepared for this change, and awarding digital badges to recognize mastery levels.
Managebac Level I training will be offered today from 1300 in D218. The instructional portion of the training will be around 20-30 minutes, but Cindy and Joe will be available for the duration of the lunch break to answer questions and facilitate deeper dives. All MS/US teachers must attend at least one session prior to the end of the school year (and before taking any other levels of Managebac training). Level I will cover the following:
Assessment – connecting the unit plans that have been created in Managebac to assessment tasks and learning activities, including how to navigate between these elements.
Teachers will be able to:
Create/Modify/Delete categories of assessment tasks (i.e. quizzes, tests, projects, etc.)
Create/Modify/Delete types of assessment tasks (i.e. Formative vs. Summative)
a. Create/Modify/Delete task-specific clarifications related to assessment tasks
Add resources to Units and Tasks and edit the organization of them
Understand how the Resource/Stream feature works
Connect Task submissions to Turnitin Feedback Studio
Develop an understanding of basic navigation within Managebac
We look forward to hosting you in D218 at 1300! Special thanks to Danny for the use of his classroom.
Hello, we are CANIS recyclers from UN Development Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production (Ms Isa and Mr Bahilo).
We are here to help the environment. We want to collect paper from every classroom so next time you throw paper out just keep in mind that if the paper is only used on one side you can put it In the boxes in the hallways.
Middle and Upper School Students; the Tech Free Zones are back!
Beginning today (Monday May 18th) you will need to pay attention to the places which are Tech Free Zones;
Hallways
Cafeteria
Library
Library Foyer
What is a Tech Free Zone? It is a place where you are not permitted to be using your phone, your computer or your ear pods / headsets.
Why do we have Tech Free Zones? To support social interactions, places to talk and laugh with your friends, a break from screens, for improved mental health and wellbeing, to create balance.
Please remember to polish your GCD stories. It might be a good idea to send a second draft to your reader for a quick read to ensure you have responded to their feedback.
The DEADLINE for uploading a POLISHED story to your Edublogs is Tuesday, May 26th at 4pm.
Please be in your location on time, especially if you are relieving another colleague for second lunch.
If you are on BTT within the Primary School during indoor play, please go into the classrooms and engage actively with the students and their activities: Kindness / Safety / Readiness To Help.

If anything arises during your BTT, please contact any member of SET.
Thank you very much for your flexibility in response to the evolving needs of BTT. It’s very much appreciated.
