Managebac Levels – I & II

Managebac Training

Don’t forget about the Managebac training sessions for all MYP and DP teachers during lunchtime to prepare for using it in the fall. We will be offering 3 levels of training in order to ensure teachers are prepared for this change, and awarding digital badges to recognize mastery levels.

Managebac Level II training will be offered Monday/Wednesday/Friday this week from 1300 in D218. (Note: You must complete Level I training and the accompanying quiz in order to take Level II). Managebac Level I training will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 1300 in D218, in case you haven’t been and achieved your Level I badge yet. (More about Level I in Tuesday and Thursday’s messages – or you can find in the previous posts from the past couple of weeks).

The instructional portion of the training will be around 20-30 minutes, but Cindy and Joe will be available for the duration of the lunch break to answer questions and facilitate deeper dives. All MS/US teachers must attend at least one session prior to the end of the school year (and before taking any other levels of Managebac training). Level II will cover the following:

Reporting – an introduction to how the gradebook functions in Managebac and connects with the various assessment tasks you’ve created, as well as how this looks on the student side.

Teachers will be able to:

  1. Understand how Formative and Summative assessments are represented in the Gradebook tab
  2. Understand how Managebac displays feedback on tasks to students
  3. Navigate through the Gradebook tab including student progress section
  4. Understand how tasks are represented on the Student portfolio (including the “Learning Goals” feature)

We look forward to hosting you in D218 at 1300! Special thanks to Danny for the use of his classroom.
